So, exactly 12:00 GMT last night, all the Zune 30 gig worldwide re-booted, then froze on the loading screen. Earlier today a press release from Microsoft stated: "We were made aware of a widespread issue facing owners of Zune 30 devices this morning. We have a technical team working hard to isolate the issue right now and will update everyone as much as possible. Thanks for your patience while we get to the bottom of this."- Paul Davison. This is yet another problem that Microsoft has faced with it's devices. Back in 2006 a large number of Microsoft's Xbox 360s broke down and it cost them 1.1b in repairs for 360 owners.
Microsoft has stated they are getting close to a fix, but until then, us 30 gig users just have to wait. On a positive side, there has been reports of a hard fix for the Zunes, but the fix involves breaking the case open to access the battery...In which the warranty gets automatically voided.
Way to go...

Passion 2008. Still in my heart
Posted by Ryan Mueller | 10:13 PM | amazing, god, passion | 0 comments »Yes it's been quite a long time since Passion 2008. But still it's in my heart everything that happened there. Charlie Hall inspiring us with songs like "Chainbreaker, Walk this World, etc". Chris Tomlin screaming "Sing sing sing" with 10,000 other people shouting along. All worshiping to Christ. Louie Giglio telling us about God's AMAZING grace and mercy, and telling us an amazing testimony.
Yes it's been a long time, but all the amazing things that happened there. The life-changing experience it was. Will stick with me for a REALLY long time. And I can't wait for the next Passion Conference.
Is it better to follow God's will for you? Or go against him? Personally I want to when I go to heaven for him to call me by name and say "good job my good and faithful servant".
That would be so amazing that no words we ever could use could describe it.
To be called a good and faithful servant by our almighty Father.
"Website recent update"
Posted by Ryan Mueller | 2:00 AM | html, twitter, update, website | 0 comments »Well, I was having to figure out a way to have a "latest news" feed on my website. Of course, you can constantly go through ftp to update it, but that get's really annoying sometimes. Plus if you are wanting someone else to update it (in my case, it's a church website), you wouldn't want them to screw up the html. So...Solution? Simple...Twitter! Made a twitter account, used the html/javascript embed and presto! The EASIEST "latest update" feed I could think of. It's a great idea if you want to use it for showing latest updates to your website.
Thanks twitter for making my life a heck of a lot easier....And more simple.
Haha, and also, for content management for events, wordpress does a pretty good fill-in job

And most of all...PRAY FOR OUR NATION!
When you are on the computer, using social utilities like Facebook, Myspace, or whatever, do you ever realize how open you might be about private issues? For instance, lets say you express feelings through status updates. Now it might be a personal thought, and it only takes a second to update your status. But then again, do you realize that all your friends on the social network actually see them? Now it's become a trend to just post your thoughts, feelings, etc, but whatever happened to the privacy of it? When people used to write down their feelings, what they were thinking or whatever else in journals, they replaced them with blogs. Blogs are able to be viewed by anyone. They say we are in the communication age, and it's true. Any privacy that was once shared in letters, conversations, or whatever else seems to have changed. Now when you really look at it, are you too open?
I would LOVE to do this. You know how amazing that would be to film?
Bosses don't work together well sometimes...
Posted by Ryan Mueller | 6:00 PM | bosses, job, work | 0 comments »I have found out that I don't think bosses work together that well sometimes. For instance, at my job Boss A. tells me how to do something. The next day Boss B. is on duty and tells me how to do the exact same thing. Then the third day, Boss C. tells me the same thing....Again. At this point Boss A. has forgotten that they told me how to do that one thing, so they remind me again. And then the same thing happens with bosses B and C. Eventually after bosses A. B. C. tell me how to do that one thing around 5 times, they get it in their heads that they have told me.
This is happening a lot...
And it's quite annoying
Ok, so I had a problem. Last weekend, after installing the antivirus BitDefender, my computer crashed. Upon realizing I can re-set it up to it's factories defaults with a backup program built into it, it made me happy. But then I realized. I had over 500 CDs I had put on the hard-drive that crashed (luckally the partitioned second hard-drive saved some of my files). But I had a backup (I'm not that stupid to just dump all my music and trust a computer), on an external hard-drive...That my sister is using for music as well...Up in Tennessee. So, here I am, stuck without any music, videos, or anything I had on my computer. But wait! I do have a Zune! And UNLIKE Itunes, Zune has REVERSE SYNC! So, basically, my external was with me all the time! So now, all I had to do was plug it in, put it as a guest (handy feature for adding new music from other Zunes), and there I was. All my media (except for maybe a couple youtube videos...) is back on my computer. Making me a happy boy.
Thanks Zune for reverse sync! (beat that Apple!)
Zune- The media-player, external hard-drive, and general life-saver
So I start my first day of employment tomorrow. I will be working at the Arbies in Canton...I'm slightly nervous, since it is my first "official" job. Oh well, the income will be nice to have.
Do you want fries with that roast beef sandwich?
It makes you wonder...
Posted by Ryan Mueller | 3:58 AM | it makes, late nights, wonder | 4 comments »Why do teens like to stay up so late? What is it about the night that entices activism? Why do more teens stay up late instead of going to bed early? It's an interesting question. My theory is that teens don't like to end things so staying up late is one way of doing that. Haha, as I post this blog it is at 3:36 AM. So, now you understand where this question came from.
Oh well, it's one of the mysteries we shall never really know.

On a hill in the middle of a forest, stands a lone compass. The hill this compass is located on is taller than all the trees around it, so it has a view for as far as the eye can see. This compass is a magical compass. As all normal compasses point north, this one is different in the fact that it shows the way to whatever you ask it to.
Now this compass gets quite a few visitors. The compass has answered so many questions, that most of them boil down to "where is the best place to dig for gold, where do I go from here to be successful,"and other greedy, or prideful questions. But there is one day that stands out that the compass really remembers.
In the fall one day, right when the leaves are at it's peak, a teenager is out walking through the woods searching for the compass that he has heard so much about. Eventually he finds it and when he gets there, he asked it, "I could ask you, what am I going to be doing in my life...Or how to be successful. But the thing is, I want to do something different. But instead, I want my future education to have a purpose to help something, someone, out. I want to be a difference. Now the compass has never heard this one before. Usually with these teenagers, it's "where do I go from here" and the compass would point to a university that is on the horizon, or if they are carrying it, some books. The compass thinks for a while and points off in the distance. In the distance, a giant globe located on top of a library is slowly turning. When the compass points, it is showing the continent of Africa. The boy looks up, inspired, thanks the compass and runs off into the woods.
Later that day, a couple come strolling about. These are newly-weds that are deeply in love with each other. A couple hours earlier they decided to take a walk through the woods to admire the beauty, and each other. Eventually they reach the hill with the compass. They walk up to the compass and the man asks, "what should I always love?" The compass thinks this is a great question because the compass loves love. But usually the question is from a young adult or teen, "who should I pursue?". The compass has gotten sick of people always relying on it for things that they should find out for themselves. The compass instantly points at the man's wife. The man and the wife quite pleased with this answer walk off in the woods, hand-in-hand.
Eventually the evening comes. The compass loves the evening because of the beauty of the setting sun. With where it's located on the hill, the compass can see how the sky looks like it's burning, and how the sun is so red, and awe-inspiring. But he hears something. A crying sound. Soon the compass sees a little boy running out of the woods. The little boy had just been at his mom's funeral. She had died two days ago to cancer. The boy left alone without a mother had taken it hard. And that evening after the funeral he went in search of the compass for answers. When the boy got to the compass, wiping tears off his eyes, he asked it, "compass, where is my mother." The compass stood still. When it get's asked a question, it knows the answers and what has happened instantly. He knew how the boy felt. He knew how grieved he was. The compass has never been asked this question as well. He knew the answer to the boys question. But it's different to answer the question that doesn't relate to death. The compass still has to answer the boys question, so even though it didn't want to do this, it slowly points up into the sky, right above the beauty of the setting sun. The little boy looks up where the compass points, and in a small voice says, "I am going to miss you mom."
Not everything is as it appears...
Posted by Ryan Mueller | 1:52 PM | appears, blog, different, random | 1 comments »When you look at a person, how do you actually see them. For instance. You look at a person who looks to be the "thrill of the party". Does that usually mean he/she is?
Not everyone is as they appear. For instance. That person MAY be the "thrill of the party" but they also might have another face to them. They love to be the thrill of the party, but they might think and feel differently. Or take a quiet person. They might be really quiet, but does that mean that they don't feel anything? Completely not. They might just be someone who listens. Those Are the people who listens to everything and comments when they think it is needed. Those also usually come across as awkward. But they have a lot more to them then it appears. Also there is a third group (at least that I can think of). These are the "studious/nerd" group. Yes they look like they might be the brains behind everything, but they might wish to be more outgoing or thoughtful. Usually in settings the "nerds" come across as the rejection group (homeschoolers accept them though ;)). And as you get to know them, yes they probably are super intelligent, but they also care and wish people would accept them more for who they are, and not what they look like.
Basically this entire blog is...NEVER judge a person by they appearance and how they might seem to act when you first meet them. Because there is a lot more to them then it appears. Just because a person acts differently then you doesn't mean they still care, love, enjoy things, whatever.
Keep striving, and just try to make a difference. We all have a different face. It's expressing our "opposite" side that is our challenge.

We all got together as a group. A place we could share, laugh, love, hang out, live. We talked about the future. We played, swam, worked on school. We were the group. The group stayed together and continued on. Persevering at whatever challenges came their way. Some struggled, most succeeded. We supported each other. We helped each other grow. But there is a time we had to split apart. As we each go to our own red-lights, we branch off in different directions. Driving away in our own sunsets. Some of us might be going just back to their houses, some to work, some to school. There might even be some you never see again. Some will become great people. Some might become co-workers. You might lose contact with a lot. We all have our own movie ending sunset. The one we drive off to. The group that came together has to split apart eventually. It might be hard, but it is inevitable. Life just is calling most of us and saying "c'mon, it's time for you to leave". When you hit that red-light and see the others branching away, you might think of it as mediocre, but that's the place you really shows that things won't ever be the same. As we drive off to our own sunsets, I only have one question. Are you ready?
Now for that follow-up...
Posted by Ryan Mueller | 1:55 PM | follow up new years friends | 1 comments »This is the follow-up to my 2007 over...Now for 2008? post. Now that it is 2008, what are my goals? Well, I have many, but I will just state a few...
1: Get my drivers license. This goal is one that I have already started on. I have to complete the annoying Joshua's law course, but once I finish it, I will just have to take the drivers test.
2: Save up and buy a car. Basically, a car for my drivers license :P
3: Be more assertive. This is something that I really need to work on... I sometimes don't really "put" myself out there. And with everything that is coming up in the future, I need to work on this.
4: Get a job. Cash=being able to do thing :)...Enough said
5: Find and get a scholarship. This will help me in the future...
6: Keep up my grades during the rest of my junior/senior year. I need to keep up the grades to be able to get a good job, go to a good collage, etc. :P
7: Do something unique. I want to be able to do something very different this year. Whether if it is a mission trip, or something extreme. I want to do something like this before I graduate.
I have many more goals, but I can't really think of them right now..Or I just don't want to type them right now.
Thanks to all my friends for making last year so amazing. If I don't list you, then don't feel left out.
Andrew- Haha, "hacking the internet buddy"...Lol, not really, but it's been fun to be able to hang out and try to beat you on swim team last year...Maybe this summer, I will be able to have that fly race :P. Also, all the crazy videos we have made has made it an interesting year.
Mallory- Gish. Tehee. But, it has really been fun to be able to hang out with you, and talk. Although how hard you try, I will never fall to country (sorry :P). It's been fun doing some crazy thing with you, like walking to the lake and such. You were someone I could open up to. Thanks. :)
BJ- BEST COUSIN EVER! And I mean that ;). If I am ever bored on the weekend, I know I can always rely on you (unless if you are buisy :P) to keep me entertained. Lol. Well, you are always someone I can trust my secrets to...And you know I have some BIG secrets! Mwahahaha! J/k. But, you have always backed me up when I needed help. Thanks for being such a good friend and cousin.
Chris- "Older brother, Uncle, Grandpa"...The list goes on lol. Maybe next year you will be introduced as some female relation to the Moss/Mueller family. Lol. Anyways, you have been almost like an older brother to me this year. I can talk to you about music, because you do have good taste :P. Also, just hanging out with you on the weekends are just fun. You might never read this post, but at least you are part of the Mueller family..Adopted that is :P.
Zach- Still surviving in Kansas eh? Lol. You are still a good friend. I know that I can call you whenever I need a laugh or just to talk to someone cool :). I just hope that we don't lose contact...If we do, I will just sick Edwin on you. Good luck surviving Zacha the Stinky Tribesman ;).
Wade- It's been really good getting to know you over this year. You are really fun to hang out with, and just do stupid thing with. Like our random, "guys night out" night, or when we just walked to 575 for no odd reason. I just hope that I can get to know you more throught the year to come.
Daria- It's been good to get to know you even more this year. You still are an amazing swing partner ;). Maybe this year, we can learn some cool, new moves. :D Whenever I need to be cheered up, I just go talk to you. You are really cool to hang around. Keep up the good work lol.
Blake-...PHYSICS PARTNER! All I can really say is, Parabolic. :P. Anyways, you really made this year fun. And made our classes together survivable. You are always, random, but cool. I think that your randomness influences a lot of HEDGE...To the good way. If I ever need to be inspired for mathematics or anything, I just go talk to you. And maybe next year, I will be able to master Blockus and be finally able to beat you.
Alex- It's been interesting to call you cousin...But I will get over that. You are the woodsman I never was. It's always fun to go to your manhunt parties. You always make thing interesting...For the good that is. Maybe at the next camping trip, you will have a tan...LOL! :P
Eric- Buddy!...Haha. You are the friend I can rock out with...And annoy Andrew because of it. J/k. Whenever you come into a room, you make it interesting. :P You are really fun to hang out with, and maybe in this year, we can both get the band back to rocking :).
Macy- Founder. The group never really left the drawing boards...Maybe when we are older we can figure it out. Wait! I just broke our no. 1 rule! Drat... Lol. Anyways, it's great to talk to you. You are always great to hang out with. :)
Amy- How could I ever forget my other great cousin? You are amazing. You got me into Alias...Sad to say. It's always fun to talk to you about books or anything literature based. Whenever we have a test together, I know I can go and drill with you. You are an amazing cousin who I can confide in.
Ben- The redneck I never was...Lol. Last year was defiantly interesting with you around ;). The camping trips were really fun. Maybe we can get our Senior trip up and running. :). You always are cool to hang around and talk to.
Megan- 'Lil sister! You are a great person to hang out with...Oh wait. I HAVE to hang out with you because you are my sister! Lol. Maybe this year, I will be able to see you more. Because it seems like the gym is more of your home than ours :(. You are a great sister to talk to. I love you sis!
Kristin- No, I haven't forgotten about you sister..Nor do I EVER forget about you. You are in my thoughts constantly even though I might not call you that often. :). You are an amazing sister. You share my same hatred to country and rap music as well. :). Maybe together we can DESTROY IT! I have really missed you since you have been at collage up in Tennessee. How can you survive it up there anyways?! All the silly Tennessee fans and their silly bright orange colors. Well, I hope you keep up in your grades. And all I can now say is, "It's a mewse!" :P. Love you sister!
Also...Thanks to my parents, aunt and uncle, and all the other adults who had to deal with me last year. You really helped make it an amazing year. :)
