Summer Reflections

Well people, I have failed you.
Not that many of you read this blog anyways.
I have lacked in updating this blog significantly, but there are reasons for that. I can update now due to actually having a life again.

School:
So, I finished my first semester at Georgia Tech (I guess I am now a heck of an engineer now), and let me tell you... I have no clue how I am going to survive 2 more years. Plug and chug I suppose. I transferred into the aerospace engineering major and I have no regrets at this point. Yes, I did get almost no sleep the entire semester. Yes finals week was probably one of the toughest things I have ever experienced, but it was worth it. Looking forward to the "fun" ahead (but in all seriousness, I love that school).

Other then that, life has been pretty good this summer so far. Went camping last week and did a very stupid thing. That was jumping off of a cliff. It was stupid, but oh so fun. Although, when my friend Bekah did it, she thought it would be fun to sit upon impact. All I could think was "thaaaats going to hurt".

This last week was awesome. We went down to Destin FL. I have been going to Destin my entire life, but I had never heard of the Airforce Armament Museum. If you are in the area, it is right outside Eglin AFB, admittance is free, and it is completely worth the trip. They have displays of a ton of aircraft and weapons and it is fascinating. As someone in the field of Aerospace Engineering, one of my highlights of the trip was seeing my aircraft that all Aerospace Engineers still revere. That is the SR-71 Blackbird. It really is a aircraft of beauty and precision (sorry about the geeky rant... It really is a great craft). But it does have a ton of other displays and things to do. And for the lovely price of $0.00, why pass it up?

Well, I guess I'll wrap up this post with a little bit of reflection (but then again, I guess posting what you've been up to is reflection anyways...Oh well). So my 21st birthday is this upcoming Tuesday. Weird to think I am about to hit my last "big" birthday of my youth. But I guess time goes by, and we all have to grow up sometime or another. But I say, grow up, but don't lose your youth. Then what's the fun of life? Oh well. No matter how hard life will get, I am going to strive to still have fun.

Well, I guess this is it for now. I will try to post soon, but knowing my life, that can be tomorrow, or next year. So don't expect much (but I'm sure my "huge audience" will probably not even notice this update). Until then, I wish thee farewell.
