So, saving money seems to be the "thing" right now. So, as such, here are 5 albums to invest in that are cheap, good, and...Did I say cheap?

1. Sountrack: Crysis 2, Deal ending time -- N/A
So, I bought this soundtrack the other day, and have absolutely loved it. It was co-produced by Hans Zimmer (one of my favorite composers), and it's really good. Not only is it really good, but it's also only $4 on Amazon! So, if you love the style of Hans Zimmer, love soundtracks, this is a must buy. Amazon ($4): http://amzn.to/mv98vD

2. Album: Mumford and Sons "Sigh No More", Deal ending time -- End of May
This album is awesome. It's a weird mix between folk/rock/country, but Mumford and Sons combine it perfectly. Right now, the album is on sale at Amazon for only $5, but that will end at the end of May. So, pick it up before then. Amazon ($5): http://amzn.to/mrlBnt

3. Soundtrack: TRON Legacy, Deal ending time -- N/A
TRON is an awesome album. Produced by Daft Punk, it is a weird mix of techno/classical. If you love soundtracks, techno music, and Daft Punk, this is as must buy. Right now, it's listed on Amazon for only $8, and that doesn't seem to be changing any. It is one of those must have albums. Amazon ($8): http://amzn.to/lQOEde

4. Classical: The Most Essential Classical Music In Movies, Deal ending time -- N/A
The reason why I mention classical music here, is you get a TON of music for your money, and this deal is no exception. It's listed on iTues for only $6 (or if you want it from Amazon, it's $7, and you get the Cloud Player access for the extra $1), you get almost 50 songs. If you ever want any classical music, this is the album to buy, as it has a little bit of everything in it. iTunes ($6): http://bit.ly/m06gDu Amazon ($7): http://amzn.to/jZlq62

5. Album: Arcade Fire "The Suburbs" Deal ending time -- End of May
The latest release from Arcade Fire is very good. The Suburbs is a must buy for anyone who loves the Arcade Fire sound. Right now, it's listed on Amazon for only $5, but only until the end of May, so be sure to grab it before the deal runs out. Amazon ($5): http://amzn.to/isCPJj

Summer nights.

It's now summer. College is over, and with it, about 70% of most of my stresses are removed. I have been dealing with work, and a few other responsibilities, but overall, my newly found freedom is a beautiful thing. So far, I've been able to hang out with a ton of friends, and do some really fun activities. I am looking forward to many to come. As I write this, I am chilling with some friends, watching movies, doing absolutely nothing. I do not have the stress of having papers, tests, or homework over me.

Now it's summer, I am able to do some of my goals I've been putting off. Here is a small list of things I want to (and will be doing) before summer ends:

1. Read the Harry Potter series.

2. Find an apartment to move to.

3. Find a new job (as I am moving out)

4. Work on some music projects.

5. Work on some art/photography projects.

6. Uhhh.... There are plenty of goals I can't think of, so I'll post them as I figure them out.

ANYWAYS, this blog post is sorta a mishmosh of my ramblings, so I'll leave it as is. But, for a music suggestion, I came across this music sampler on Amazon, and it's really good. So, as it's free, you should get it: http://amzn.to/m1gRZT

Summer and discoveries.

Posted by Ryan Mueller | 2:12 PM | , , | 0 comments »

Well, as of now, I officially call it summer. Yes, I do have 2 more finals next Monday, but in comparison to the ones I had yesterday, they will be a walk in the park (ok, maybe a better analogy is a climb up a mountain as one of them is my linear algebra test), but in general, it's not physics, or my freakishly tough American history course.

As such, a beautiful feeling of rest and relief has come over me. Summer is officially here, and with it comes a time of transition. A lot of stuff will be occurring in my life over the course of this summer, and I'm excited to finally be able to start this transition.

But today is a relaxation day. I don't have to worry about the rest of my tests, the paper I have to complete, or anything relating to school (as I will worry about that starting tomorrow). It's nice just getting to chill and not worry about anything. This is a feeling I have not experienced in a loooooong time. Guess I need to get used to it.

Finally, a couple of days ago, I discovered a really cool website, http://www.thesixtyone.com/. It's a really cool place to find new artists and music. If you love music discovery (and amazing music), I highly suggest it. It also involves a really cool social aspect as the more users like songs, the higher they rank for play. Things like that really make it an awesome site. Plus, I have yet to find a single song that I have disliked on it (this relates to the amount of hearts I have for songs... If you use the site, you'll understand what this means). So, check it out if you can, and if you register, use my referral name: mezosurfer. There you go, and you're welcome. (oh and another thing, since it's a music DISCOVERY site, a lot of songs are free to download)

Time for another music post. Like the last one, I've been listening to more of the electronica stuff lately, but I'll throw in one that isn't at least. Anyways, let's begin.

1. Moby: Be The Day. Well, I saw the movie The Next 3 Days, this last week, and first off, it's a really good movie, but secondly, Moby released 2 really good songs for the soundtrack with it. So this is one of them.

2. Moby: Mistake. Well, if Moby only did 2 songs, I might as well throw in the second one to this list as it's also an amazing song.

3. Britney Spears: Till The World Ends. I've been doing a ton of studying for finals, and as such, electronica/dance naturally works well with studying. So Britney Spear's Till The World Ends is actually a really good study song. So it made this list.

4. All This Time: One Republic. Ok, so this is a huge change of pace from what I've posted so far. But, this song is one of my all-time favorites. I really love the acoustic/rock/classical style in One Republic's Waking Up album. This song shows that style perfectly.

5. Social Network OST: In Motion. So, if you are studying for school, this song is awesome to listen to. For some odd reason, it just inspires me to do well. But, that might just be me.
